I’ve seen a few quotables sites about so I figured I’d add to the boisterous joy of notable others’ words, and add a little explanation as to why each one tickles my fancy. This is my first in a series (who knows how long the series will be).
We’ve all sat in those business or public service meetings (I’ve done both, lucky me) where tired but well oiled cliches are trotted out – or, god forbid, segued into – our noble leaders presentations. The record player’s needle is stuck in a groove, the corporate speak is on repetition, and loud. ‘Tis then that Dylan’s plaint often slips into my mind. I may even mutter it into a neighbour’s ear.
